4 axis DSP-based motion controller on VME with PLC

The Mx4000VME-IO with 40 on-board I/Os provides full PLC programmablity. In addition to the servo connectors, a PLC connector is provided to interface directly to popular Gordos, Grayhill or Opto 22 optical isolators. The Mx4 family is powered by a patented parallel-DSP processing architecture.

The Mx4000VME-IO is a slave; it decodes 16 address lines and responds to data transfers at both even and odd address locations. The card also supports seven interrupt lines. The VME Mx4 card can be programmed to respond to short I/O address bus cycles, as determined by the address modifier bits AM5:0.

Its programming support includes a C-like programming language (DSPL) which utilizes the Mx4's DSP processing power, enabling the controller to perform computer, PLC, and motion control functions in factory automation applications.
